TRANSFERMATE

TransferMate, part of the ING bank, is an international payment method system for students.Cambridge, Oxford and Greystar are already using TransferMate. Students receive a payment request via TransferMate, from SHWJ/SUWB in there local currency, without paying international banking charges while receiving competitive foreign exchange rates. You can use this secure, fast method to make your accommodation fee payments to us.

How does it work?

Step 1: Register your payment on TransferMate’s secure SHWJ/SUWB environment and enter your personal details there.
Step 2: Pay the amount. This can be done via bank transfer or with a credit card (VISA or Mastercard).
Step 3: As soon as your payment has been received by TransferMate, the payment will be forwarded to SHWJ/SUWB . You will receive an email confirmation that your payment has been received. This can take a few (working) days.

You can then follow the status of your payment if you are logged in to your personal TransferMate page (via payment history).

What are the benefits?

  • No extra (international) transaction costs
  • A sharp exchange rate
  • You can track your payment 24 hours a day

Q&A

  • I want to pay with credit card. Can I do that?

You can pay with VISA and Mastercard via TransferMate.

  • My Transfermate payment has not yet been processed, what now?

The processing time of a payment via TransferMate is between 3 and 4 working days. A credit card payment can take a little longer. Your payment may take a few working days longer, due to delays in the payment processing system. If you made a payment via TransferMate more than 4 days ago, and you haven’t received a confirmation of receipt by email, please do the following:

    1. Check the status of your payment at TransferMate via “payment history”, by logging in to your personal page
    2. Ask TransferMate Customer Service if your payment has already been processed
    3. If so, please send a proof of payment to SHWJ/SUWB via a mail. Then we’ll sort it out for you.

Don’t worry, you won’t lose your room if you’ve made a payment. It’s just a matter of time before the payment has reached SHWJ/SUWB.
Once the payment has been processed by us, you can sign your rental agreement. We will let you know via email.

  • I have cancelled my TransferMate invoice, but I still paid the amount. What should I do now?

When you cancel your payment registration on the TransferMate portal, the payment will be set to inactive. If you still transfer the amount to TransferMate, the payment cannot be processed. You will have to re-register your invoice with TransferMate via suwb.nl. TransferMate will be able to book the transferred amount to your new registered payment.

  • Are you making a TransferMate payment and you live in a SEPA country?

Then TransferMate charges € 2 euros transaction costs. Once you have a Dutch bank account, you can pay via iDEAL without additional transaction costs.
